How to download videos from youtube?

I keep reading comments on some videos asking for a download link to any music being played with the video or the video itself. So here is what i do to download the video from you tube and extract music from it.

Copy the link to the video on www.youtube.com

Go to www.keepvid.com and paste it in the URL field and click the “Download” button.

Then it will display a list of possible formats available for download from you tube right below it, then select the desired format. Go for mp4 format if you need a high quality video and then download the video. I go for mp4 format but if you are low on bandwidth then no problem you can also go for other formats like flv or 3 gp.

Then you can use this mp4 format on you computer, psp or ps3 but if you want to convert the file format to any other desired format then you can use a Total Video Converter.
