Cloud bursting | What is cloud bursting or cloudburst?

Cloud bursting is an amazing concept i learned today from my father, he was telling me it happened in Leh and the flood is still causing deaths there. I never heard of it before so i searched on internet and this event in Leh, India was the first result to show up on google from wikipedia. So like the name suggests, Cloud bursting is when pregnant cloud full of water burst like a water balloon and the whole water comes down like shit.

It can last for few minutes to hours. And i don’t believe its the same thing that happened in Mumbai back in 2005. I was visualizing how can a cloud burst and how the rain would actually look. My father said its never like the normal heavy rain because its not like normal drops but when its cloud burst, its like when you put a bucket of water from top floor on someone and here its big clouds with a lot of water.

So even if cloud burst lasts for few minutes it can create flood like conditions in the area.

There are no videos of cloud burst on youtube or on internet. It must be so rare and the only videos available are of news interview reports of eyewitnesses explaining how cloud burst took place and how all the water flooded the area.
