To begin
with, first i am going to explain few things about Meditation
in the simplest possible way and then tell you how i meditate.
I am writing this articles for the beginners so that you
can get to know what is the least thing that you can do
to meditate and trust me, it works. Well, for meditating
its not really that compulsary to sit in a pose. All you
need to do is just be comfortable because Meditation is
all about relaxing, removing all the thoughts from the
mind and just concentrating. To boost your concentration
and increase your mental ability. Meditation can be the
cure for almost all the psychological issues if done seriously
with discipline. You must do it regularly to be that disciplined.
Meditating is not really a big deal as i said its not
that compulsary to sit in the pose and take some time
out specially for meditating. If you are serious about
it and want to take some time specially for Meditation
then you can do it all. As this article is focused on
the beginners you dont have to do all those things but
this is that you can do the least to begin with.
This is
how i Meditate : At night when i am on my bed, before
sleeping as soon as i lay on the bed i try not to think
of anything. After few minutes i get somewhat control
on my thoughts and i am in a position to not to think
of anything else. For you it must be not that easy but
you can try your best. Then i just try to feel my breathing
and try to get calm as much as i can even while laying
on the bed. Well while laying you must make sure you are
feeling comfortable, i take my both the hands below my
head. Then all i do it try to concentrate on my forhead.
Actually if you try concentrating you will feel how deep
you are concentrating. You can say that its some kind
of a range. Sometimes when i do that i concentrate to
much which sometiems even hurts. But being normal and
concentrating lightly and just calmly is better and good.
Well, the most important things while meditating is you
just have to remove thoughts and calm yourself, focus
on your breathing and try to relax as much as possible.
If you try to relax your entire body you will even get
a feeling of little numbness over your body and sometimes
even feel your heart beating and those pulses. Dont worry,
its not a big deal as big as it sounds. If you try to
do this regularly then you will see how calm you feel
during your daily activities.
This type
of meditation is usually known as Mindfull Meditation.
I hope you know the two basic types, they are Concentration
and Mindfull. In Mindfull Meditation which is what i have
explained here, Focus and Awareness is must. All you are
doing is trying to focus and become aware of your mental
activities. I have used word "concentration"
above just so that the beginners gets the basic or the
least idea what exactly to do. Its all about being aware
of your mind with no thoughts and try to focus on your
mind and breathing. In mindfull meditation you can even
focus on external things like the sound around you, whatever
is going around you but with no other thoughts in your
mind but just being aware of each and everything around.
But at first its pretty good enough to just focus on your
mind and create some self awareness mentally. I mostly
focus on my breathing and mind.
Calmness
is must during our awakened life which even makes us feel
confident about ourself. If prevent us from doing any
stupid mistakes because due to meditating practise our
minds are calm with unwanted, stupid, useless thoughts.
This above proces is the best because you see anyone can
do it because its just right before you sleep while laying
on bed. You dont have to take any time and just make it
a big issue and read lot of meditating books and search
on internet. Trust me, i am writing this article because
thats what i personally do and obviously that shows how
much it really works.
I have a
panic disorder and i cannot really afford the expensive
treatement and those medicines so i try to do this and
it has helped me a lot to some extend. However, i still
take medicines but not in the way as prescibed by my psychiatrist
due to expenses. It had made me so calm and "i literraly
can feel how my mind and me is calm during my daily activities".
Actually i am a worst day dreamer and this is the BEST
idea to get rid of tis serious day dreaming problems.
Thats why i can see the effect. If you are a day dreamer
and always in your own fantasy world which is fake and
where you are not suppose to be during your awakeneed
life then this is what you must do. Even, if you get lot
os stupid unwanted thoughts then this is what you can
do to help yourself. It will help you to get control over
your panic attack, if you have a panic disorder. The process
is the same and i have discussed it here
on the panic attacks page. All meditation do is help us
get some control over our mind and bain which is highly
unstable. Missions of thoughts just comes in our brain
and goes and we dont even get to know. Meditation helps
in controling that.
